"We are all-encompassing."
"We are all-encompassing."
Welcome! I'm Emma, the founder of Encompass Psychology and Supervision (MProfPsy, GradDipPsy, BA-SSS).
Having worked in the mental health space for the past 12 years across NSW and VIC, I have experience in private practice, government sectors, NDIS and public health.
I am a Registered Psychologist and Board Approved Supervisor through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulatory Agency (AHPRA) as well as member of the Australian Association of Psychologists (AAPi).
I love meeting new people and supporting them on their mental health journeys. I have a variety of therapeutic modalities I utilise, but am mindful of tailoring my sessions to suit your needs and goals. I am currently available to see adults.
I am also currently taking on new supervisees through their internship program or placements. Please get in touch to discuss your needs.

At Encompass Psychology and Supervision, our mission is to provide compassionate and evidence-based treatments to help our clients achieve their goals and improve their mental health and well-being.

We offer a personalised approach to therapy, tailoring our treatments to meet the unique needs of each client. Please reach out to us to discuss your needs and see if we are a good fit!

As Board Approved Supervisors, our supervisors are experienced and highly proficient in delivering quality supervision for students undertaking their internships or placements.
At Encompass Psychology and Supervision, we are dedicated to providing comprehensive psychological services. Our mission is to support mental health and well-being through evidence-based practice, offering a warm and collaborative approach and recognising that there is no one size fits all approach to therapy.
Our Board Approved Supervision services are available for those completing their internships through the 5 + 1 programme, AWOP or as part of the boards requirement for ongoing peer supervision and annual supervision. We are also happy to provide supervisory consulting services to practices hosting 5th year masters students for placement.
Please reach us at emma@encompasspsychology.com.au if you cannot find an answer to your question.
Psychologists in Australia generally hold an undergraduate degree, honours and postgraduate masters degree (approximately 6 - 8 years of study). Psychologists are registered and qualified to provide therapeutic and counselling services, diagnosis as well as assessments. Psychiatrists hold a medical degree and are trained to diagnose and treat mental health disorders with medications.
Cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT) is a type of therapy that focuses on changing negative patterns of thinking and behaviour. At Encompass Psychology and Supervision, we offer CBT as one of our many therapeutic approaches. However, we also utilise ACT, DBT and EMDR as some of our other therapeutic modalities.
If you'd like to claim the Medicare rebate associated with engaging in psychological services, it is recommended you obtain a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP) and referral from your treating General Practitioner. Alternatively, you can engage with us privately, however please note you will not be able to claim a rebate through Medicare and the session will incur the full fee. We also see those under NDIS, provided you are self or plan managed.
Sessions run for approximately 50 minutes and cost $200. If you have a valid MHCP and referral, you are entitled to a rebate of $98.97 with an out of pocket cost of approximately $102. With a valid MHCP and referral, you are entitled to 10 rebated psychology sessions per calendar year.
We understand that life can get in the way of scheduled appointments. We ask that you please provide us with at least 48 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. This allows us to book in others who may be waiting for an appointment. Failure to notify us of your reschedule/cancellation will result in the full session fee being charged.
We sure do! Please let us know your preference when scheduling with us. We are happy to engage with you via telehealth (secure video link) or in person at our Mornington address.
That is entirely up to you. After we have established your therapeutic needs, we will come up with a plan regarding your sessions. Usually, clients tend to engage fortnightly to monthly, but again, this is highly dependent on the needs of the individual and individual preferences.
We are sorry to hear this! At the moment, our practice is only available for on site sessions every 2nd Thursday. Our session hours are from 9:30am - 2:30pm on Thursdays. On the alternating fortnight, we provide telehealth sessions. Please rest assured we are continuously reviewing our schedule and there may be opportunity for additional days/hours down the track. We will keep you posted!
We would love to hear from you. Due to being in consultation, any queries are best directed to our email. We will endeavour to get back to you within 48 hours.
Please note, we are not a crisis service. If you, or someone else is at risk, please contact 000.
